Megan was born in England and grew up in Coffs Harbour NSW before relocating to the Gold Coast to study a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University. Megan graduated from Griffith University with a double distinction in mid-2019. During her studies Megan was awarded an award for Academic Excellence in each year of her degree and was a member of the Griffith Honours College, the Criminology Academic Excellence Society, and the Golden Key Society for Academic Excellence. During her degree Megan also completed a clerkship and spent a semester of her degree studying abroad at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Megan also spent time volunteering with the Gold Coast Community Legal Centre and the Southport Domestic Violence Court during her studies.
Before commencing the next step in her professional life, Megan took a few months off to backpack around Europe. Upon her return to Australia, Megan commenced her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the College of Law. Megan was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW as a solicitor in 2020.
Megan is particularly passionate and knowledgeable about Domestic Violence matters and complex Parenting Matters. Megan has a strong background in assisting clients through their family law matters from mediations through to final hearings.
When she’s not in the office, Megan spends most of her time at the beach with her two dogs Maxwell and Hutch or at her local CrossFit gym.
